Moreh, October 30:
After some Indians detained by the Mynamarese Government were released some days back, 22 more Indians detained by the military junta were handed over to Indian authorities today morning at Moreh.
The freed detainees were handed over to Moreh ADC Th Chothe and Moreh Police OC W Nongyai by the Deputy Director of Myanmar Immigration office based at Tamu U Kyan Sein Htein at the Myanmar Immigration office of Namphalong.

The 22 detainees freed today were arrested by Myanmar authority for crossing into Myanmar territory illegally and for smuggling out teak timber and opium along Aisi border under Singhat sub-division on May 6 this year.
For their illegal activities on the foreign soil, they were lodged in Myanmar jail since August 25 under Section 7 of the Myanmar Immigration (Emergency Prevention) Act.
The 22 Indian detainees freed today were identified as Pausuanthang, Henkholun, Thang SK, Pouminlen, Chinkhanlam, Gokhanthang, Lienkhanthang, Khupginpou, Thangkhankai, Manglienthang, Zam Hlienthang, Zamchinhan, Housuanmang, Tomba, Dalkhanpou, Suanlinthang, Manglienthang, Kapmang, Kailam, Saikholunad, Lam Nain Hlin.
The freed Indians are currently detained at Moreh Police Station for veification of their identities.
