16 sittings witnessed, five Bills introduced

With the conclusion of the session which began on May 3 today, the second part of the first session of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly, the House has been adjourned sine die.
Issuing a notification in this connection, Secretary of Manipur Legislative Assembly T Joute said that the adjournment of the House has been effected in pursuance of Rule 19 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Manipur Legislative Assembly.
There were in all 16 sittings of the House during the 2nd part of the first session of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly which began on May 3 and concluded today.
Out of 140 starred questions raised by the members, two of them have been subsequently withdrawn.
The number of unstarred questions asked during the session was 9 and short duration question only one.
In all 15 Call Attention Motions were raised during the session which had two obituary references.
Besides, in all five Bills were introduced from the side of the Government during the session which also witnessed the passing of one Private Member Resolution out of four raised.
The address of the Governor was also been discussed for two days after which it was passed by the House.
