In yet another case of rape, a lactating young mother was raped by two unidentified armed men, suspected to be UG cadres, at T Phaizol village under Churachandpur police station at about 11.30 am yesterday.
The young mother is identified as Lamneilhing Haokip (20) w/o Sheichon Haokip of T Phaizol village.
The young mother has a four year daughter and a three month old son.
During the course of interactions with our CCpur correspondent during the day, Lamneilhing said that she spotted three armed men, in camouflage, only when her children Chinngaimoi, 4 and Seiminthang 3 months, who were inside the jhum hut, screamed and cried out suddenly.

Soon after, the armed men summoned her inside the hut saying they have things to inquire about.
As she entered the hut and breast fed her younger child one of the men took the older child outside the hut, another blocked the door, while the third threatened her and took his turn in exploiting her.
In the same manner, she said, she was raped by two of the three armed men.
The victim further claimed that she first disclosed the incident to her sister identified as Tinkholam enroute to her village.
According to sources, as the armed men have even threatened to torch the entire village if she ever spoke about the incident, the matter was brought to the notice of the police only later in the day.
All three of them were wearing camouflaged pants and green T-shirts embossed with a symbol of two guns crossing over each other on the shoulder.
They also had rifles.
After she was brutally raped, the two rapists threatened her not to disclose the criminal act to anybody.
They warned Lamneilhing Haokip that they would not only kill her and her family but would also burn down the whole village in case she opened her mouth about their criminal act.
The traumatised victim disclosed that the rapists spoke Manipuri but in improper accent.
Apart from washing all the inner clothes she wore when she was raped, she had intercourse with her husband yesterday night which might pose certain problems to forensic experts to come to a conclusion.
With the registration of a case in this connection at Churachandpur police station, medical examination of the victim was conducted today at Forensic Department RIMS today.
It is reported that blood sample, urethral swab and vaginal swab have been collected for examination in relevant laboratories.
Meanwhile, vice-president of the KSO Richard has condemned the incident in the strongest manner.
He also urged upon the Govt to take up all necessary actions within 5 days failing which intense agitation will be launched.
The KSO, Churachandpur while condemning the incident said that the culprits should be arrested by July 15 or else they would resort to various form of agitations.
It also demanded that a sum of Rs 5 lakhs be paid to the victim.
