There are sixteen short stories in the book. The first story entitled Chechem Sulo reflects the ideal character of a woman named Sulochana. The narrator was staying in his auntie's house for a period of time. The whole story itself is the experience felt by the narrator during his stay in the house. Sulo (Sulochana) is the wife of Arunkumar, brother of the narrator's uncle. Arunkumar joins Indian army and after marriage Arunkumar succumbed in an accident. The narrator's mind was attached so much to Sulo. Sex psychology is inherent in the story. The next short story entitled Khura Mohongi Vote reflects the selfish motif of a voter named Mohan Singh. The author calls him Khura Mohon. He is a type of man who has two faces i.e. the outer face and the inner face. People knew that Khura Mohan is a type of man who dislikes talking about election in the hotels and the public places. He chides the candidates by charging that all are corrupted ones. He talks as if he is a true citizen like Gandhi. On the other hand he is a goose who never casts vote without taking any money from the candidates. Khura Mohan symbolizes the goofs of our society. One of the shocking plots is apparent in Irombagi Mahao. Subhasini is a poor woman who bears the burden of her family management. Her husband Oja Nillo always spends time and money in gambling. After some time nothing was left in their hands. On one particular day Oja Nillo goes out in the evening and all the children too went to their neighbors for watching TV. There wasn't anything to be cooked in the house. What is to be done, she thought. All the shopkeepers have stopped giving credits to them. In the night Subhasini goes to one Naresh's shop and gets the stuffs through immoral ground.
