Winter
Echel Achom *
Fog surrounds everything
You can’t see anything but a haze of white and grey
You can see your breath
before you feel it
teeth are chattering
faces are turning pink
fingertips are numb
the sun tries to push past the clouds
you can’t feel your toes
it’s a winter morning.
