TODAY -
Through the Mist
Randhir Thiyam *
When will the NEBULA burn off?
When will it crack open?
That thick cloud smothering Manipur’s map—
Weather forecast says it’s a cyclone from Delhi.
A fog so thick,
It’s blinding the eyes of the people.
When will the Centre clear the cataracts?
Cut through the haze of politics,
And sharpen the vision?
A joint surgery needed—
Centre and State, scalpel in hand.
But the clock’s ticking louder than a siren.
The question still lingers:
When? When? When?
