The Power of Now
Glyxson Thokchom *
Time whispers softly, shifting all we know,
A river flowing, changing face and soul,
In its relentless tide, we grow, we grow,
And I am not immune to its control.
They say the past is shadows best ignored,
Yet history’s echo lingers still,
For human hearts are prone to heed,
Repeating scars we’ve come to know so well.
But in this fleeting now, our power lies,
To shape the moment, forge a brand-new way,
The present calls with urgent, silent cries,
A chance to break the chains of yesterday.
While time may change and memories cast,
Our focus must be on what truly lasts.
