Star-Crossed Love
Aribam Surjeet Sharma *
Two lines parallel to one another
Are destined never to meet one another,
However far you extend them,
Even to the edge of the universe.
Two lovers who are star-crossed
Are destined never to find fruition in their love,
However much they love one another,
Even to the end of time.
Though the lines never meet one another,
Their distance always remains the same.
Though the love never reach fruition,
Its intensity always remains the same.
But, as Einstein said, if the universe is bent,
The parallel lines could meet one another
Somewhere.....someday.
Oh, if that is the case such kind of love
Could also come to fruition
Somewhere,,,,,, some day.
