Oh, My Motherland Manipur
Rahul Khangembam *
Oh, my motherland Manipur,
We're living in pain,
Sixteen months so far,
My motherland is burning!
Warmongers are deceiving the World,
And shirker monarchs maltreat his peoples,
Your children are trying to halt aerial attacks,
But the atrocities killed thousands of peoples.
Imposing curfews and internet restriction is not a solution or an end to war.
Oh, my motherland Manipur,
We're living in pain,
Sometimes, I feel that the proxy war against my motherland is only for the poor?
Where are those sixty thousand who failed to shoot at sight?
Then when will it end?
When will we sleep peacefully?
And when will this corrupt system end?
