Instructions for Peace
Randhir Thiyam *
If you love peace,
don't demand Homeland.
If you love peace,
don't block Highways and stop looting.
If you love peace,
don’t plant poppy and harvest funerals.
If you love peace,
don’t baptize terror and wash
civilian blood with slogans.
If you love peace,
don’t rewrite history
with clean hands and dirty ink.
If you love peace,
prove it—
by how you live with others.
If you love peace,
stop importing labor
and deporting dignity.
Peace is not a slogan,
It’s a systematic discipline,
And it demands witnesses.
