Dear Mom
Ms. Ajanda Haging *
Dear Mom,
You are the only person
whom I loved the most.
There are oceans of tears
resting in my eyes—
for the moments
I never had the chance
to spend with you.
But now,
I search for you
in every corner,
in every quiet knock of memory—
yet you are nowhere.
I find nothing
except the gentle picture
of you in my imagination.
Every morning I wake,
thinking of your warm face,
your loving smile
that once brightened my days.
I long to kiss you once more,
to hold your hand again—
But time does not return,
and the past remains a dream.
Still, Mom,
In my heart, you stay,
guiding me like a silent light
through every step along the way,
a beacon burning warm and bright.
