Cries in Agony
Tourangbam Jenifer *
A hope to change flees too fast
Blithe in me withers like flowers
No sooner had I stepped in,
The heavy storm roared with fierce lightning
Yet I face valiantly.
Enduring the torment hard as hailstones.
Neither stepping back nor overthrown
Though trampled underneath the boots
Retaliate boldly and resiliently.
With teary eyes, agonized cries echo far and wide
For such deceitful deeds and hostile spirit.
Sooner or later, the price is paid.
