The youth of today are the pillars of tomorrow. The future of the state
can be clearly laid by studying the conduct of the youths of today.
Our state Manipur was "a land of jewels" but it is no longer now. The
richness of a state is not determined by its landscape but by the
society that prevail there.
Today we see a society where the human value has
touched ground zero, a dilapidated land where hope is the final
solution.
To be very precise, our predecessors have failed. Our revered
ministers have scored a zero in their exam and our society elders a "Samu marum".
When the old fail, the youth has to take over. Our home of today has
roof holes. So, should be take shelter in somebody else's house?
The answer is an obvious no. We should not leave the state taking shelter in
better places but rebuild it.
To start with, we have one of the best muscle fibers in the world, a
huge potential in the field of sports.
The land where we live is blessed
by God himself if you would believe me. It is imperative to revoke our
consciousness and learn to admire the scenic beauty of the place.
The climatic conditions in which we live, the purity of the natural
surroundings.. Yes this is heaven.
Do not get startled to have realized it very
late. We have time with us and lots of time indeed.
We need to make
sure that the beauty of the place does no go unobserved, provide a resting
place for tired souls and some foreign exchange for ourselves from
these visiting tourists.
There are big potholes as regards programs on
economic development. Sericulture, paper mills in Jiribam, tea
production...the list is non-ending.
All these things are possible even today provided our elders come out
with a clean heart and sincerity to bring about a change, which is very
unlikely.
Therefore the responsibility pass on to us, the youths. What
should we do then?
A much matured answer which I have got questioning
myself time and again is "Today we learn and tomorrow we perform".
Lets us learn through education, through experience and exposure so as
to build a land which is beautiful beyond limits, a place where there
are no ego-based conflicts but peace so that somebody doesn't have to
take the pain to write a similar article again.
