Dear Honorable Chief Minister of Manipur,
With much pleasure and appreciation to your new leadership in Manipur
at this juncture, this open personal letter is addressed to you from
Singapore for your immediate follow up action to Mr Vajpayee Prime
Minister of India on the subject matter of revoking foreign restricted acts
from Manipur state. I have already sent an open letter to our honorable
Prime Minister of India for the cause of the people of Manipur in
particular and at large for the greater interest of India and global
community. I would like to give some supporting reasons of removing the
restricted acts from Manipur.
1. Tourism point of view: Manipur has many natural attractive places
with many rare animals, flora and Fauna, and the uniqueness of
multi-indigenous tribal society. The historical world wars battlefields are
memorable as many soldiers sacrificed their lives in Manipur whom many
countries men still remember them with respect and love. Moreover, Manipur is
connected to many bordering countries like Burma, Pakistan,
Bangladesh, China, Srilanka etc.
2. Educational and idealism: The potential of the multicultural and
religious aspect is also a key role for the changing of mind set of the
people from traditional thought to post-modernism. It can bring many
changes in various fields for betterment and progressive people in the
country.
3. Creation of job opportunities and also self reliance for the
thousand of young people in Manipur. They will use their brain and talents for
constructive purposes as they see the civilized people in the world.
They will learn to appreciate their own people and culture when they
make interaction with other people of the countries.
4. Communal tension or riots will no longer exist in Manipur as they
can interact with foreigners. Our behavior will be changed as we
receive many new ideas and modernism way of life. There can be better and
stricter laws implementation for everyone with equality and our society
and administration becomes more transparency to one another for the good
of all.
5. Administration and economical management: Such changes will be
helpful for higher rate of growth for the administration and economical
growth with the improvement in the transaction. It helps also for
accountability of every management and pushes up the investment in many respect
of business in Manipur.
6. Kashmir has been open to foreign tourists for many years through the
political situation is worst than Manipur by the government of India.
With this comparison and also the past historical experience of
Manipur, people of Manipur has been very hospitalized and treated well so far
to foreigners or tourists. But in many parts of India, we have heard
many bad news of the local people who ill treated foreign tourists. In our
history of Manipur, not a single foreign tourist is ill treated to
cheated by the people of Manipur.
My personal sharing in this letter may surely help our Chief Minister
to further do the follow up action with the honorable Prime Minister of
India as my open letter is sent on 30 March 2002 from Singapore. May
your leadership bring peace and prosperity as you work for reconstruction
of Manipur at this challenging generation.
Yours sincerely,
a good citizen of Manipur
