It stormed like an unexpected aggression of a cruel ruler in the middle of the night. It appeared like a nightmare disturbing a sweet dream. It was like turning out a breathtaking Stephen Spielberg film into real. It buzzed louder than any furious marching mob, and struck the mortal human body with unbearable force.

It tossed away fiercely the innocents, who wished to play just for a while, on the lap of their beloved mother sea. Any obstinacy against it was simply not possible, but to stream away, as human balance was reduced to a zilch. It snatched away if somebody's child, then another's husband or wife.

It came at the time of Sunday's church bells and touched the shores when the needy lot just had a smile looking their first day's earning – wiping the sweat rolling down their wrinkled forehead. It came like waves of death and appeared as endless walls of terror. It pumped deadly brackish fluid to the heart through veins and noshed salt to the lungs pressing hard against the fragile human breath.

Somebody may call the Sunday's tsunami as a vengeance of the nature to the human development. Other may say it was just an innocent hug of the mother sea unaware of possible devastations.

Someone can also term it as a monster's intention to swallow the entire living creatures. Whatever it might be, it took lives in thousands and rendered homeless in lakhs. The human boast of predicting and forecasting for almost everything was left stunned. It played a flirtious mockery to the human technology and took away everything so fast.

It came violently but still left a lesson that the development we have is so feeble in front of the nature's anguish. It also came as a reminder that every single human is same in the eyes of the nature. The line, we have drawn between us, and the separations we have been maintaining are discernible only to us.

She doesn't recognize us on the lines of creed, race, country, boundary, religion and region.

And this was realized fast, atleast for the time being!

A girl in the far away London city has given up her Christmas celebration and donated the money for the victims. We see Tamil rebels and Sri Lankan troops working together in the relief works. A man in Nagapattinam roamed around and gathered dead bodies of its own to help the rescue workers.

People from different caste, creed, community, religion, class and region are staying together in the relief camps. Different people from across the globe have been serving the survivors in these camps with full zeal. We see people from politics, corporate houses, troops, sports, civilians and others have joined in helping the victims.

Why? - Because we cannot live in separation. We are from the same family of mankind, and to live in harmony and united is our religion. Crores have joined hand in this biggest ever-human unity.

Let's do our bit for those thousands, whose morning was turned out to be a terrifying night. Even the vast ocean is made of little droplets of water. Nothing is so less or so late to start a good work.

Each and every help would certainly bring some smile to the ruined victims. Let's try to wipe the tears, rolling down endlessly for the near and dear ones. Let's give the warmth and ensure the victims that there is always a beautiful and better tomorrow. Let's pay homage to the departed souls, whose morning won't come forever.
