My Baba + Mama & Me
Romita Watham *

My parents are my best friend, philosopher & guide, who had taught me – all over the years the difference between right and wrong, weak and strong.

Growing up seeing my Mama I always wanted to be like her – a prim, proper principle women, not forgetting, a very good & well organized home maker.

They've been the best parents, a girl could have, they have given me the best education, the best life. I'm just another part of them, I'm lucky that I born to such an understanding parents who knows to handle perfectly a naughty & careless girl like me.

I can't even dream of even compensating my parents love & care with thanks. I consider my Baba & Mama, just after the Almighty God as a truly seen GOD with my own eyes on this Earth, they are my parents whom I love more than even myself. They have been the most inspiring person in my life & none can take the place they hold in my heart.

The valuable lessons my parents had imbibed in me from a tiny blood & how wonderfully they had moulded me from being a careless, selfish, stubborn & impulsive young girl to a thoughtful & deep woman. I just love both of them for being perfect parents & really 'm proud to be known as their daughter in society.

When I was at the last stage of teen, when love & friends around touched me. I was a young woman on the threshold of life, at that time.

Nineteen is a dangerous age, it is an age when one is physically a woman, but emotionally a confused girl searching for her own identity & bewildered by boyfriend and career options.

At that time I was building grey castle in air, dreaming, dreaming about my career. When I started my career I was not like sitting duck as I used to be when I was a small kid, rumble and tumbling everything.

After my college, my parents gave me the rights to choose the path I wish to follow, I simply admire my parents for the freedom & trust they gave me.

Oh! Lovely were those days when I 1st stepped out searching my goal of my life along with my parents' blessings. Isn't it great my parents gave me the rights to decide where to work & how to go ahead with my career, even though they gave me the complete freedom to do whatever I wish.

I'm happy they never left me alone, every step I take my parents were too supportive on the other hand very very...Strict. As my BABA had been in Army, I have been brought up in very strict manners, where discipline & only discipline is the must.

My parents had never shown any difference between 3 of us, I meant to say between my elder sister, me & my younger brother, I adore both of them for all the efforts they put on us to make us a good human being.

When I was a kid, my Baba told me to sit straight, to sit still, to sit quietly in a place without making noise & not to speak while eating and always asked me to keep on studying which I hate to do the most when I was a kid.

That time I don't like him for all the lectures and restrictions he puts on us but my sister & brother like following it. I was a rule-breaker from Childhood itself & always got beating for all my mischievous deeds, as he used to scold me & beat me for all the ulta pulta things I do.

I didn't like my Baba as much I like my Mama. I admired her from starting itself as she always remain cool and calm & still makes me understand by her soft advices.

I used to call my Baba - 'Hitler' when I was small (Sorry Baba for this so call Hitler issue), but now only I realized if he hasn't put the restriction on me, than I won't be in the stage of writing this article, a silly girl I was I felt now & cherishing all my childhood memories right at this moment I can't control the smile that flows in my face.

Even till now I never do anything without asking their permissions & they too always stands beside me wherever I wanted to stand, this always made me feel special, I really recall all the advices & teachings they imbibed in me, now I really follow it and very happy following his rules & regulations.

The personality whom I really admire from the deep of my heart for the humanity they have in their heart for the people living around them is my Baba & Subhash Chandra Bhose. I'm really proud of my parents for the outstanding services they did for many needy peoples, my life will be a successful one if I also could at least contribute even 1% of what my parents been doing.

Sometimes I take wrong decision & break down in front of them, they are the ones who wipe my tears, again get me ready for another hurdles of my life journey.

I always feel each day is the 1st day of my school & my parents get me ready, holds my hand and leaves me to learn the remaining chapter of life, even though they both had given me all the necessary teaching of life.

My parents do advice me to learn from others and from my own experiences.

A simple infallible philosophy of my Baba I love following is –

Roses came with thorns;
No one could live life without troubles,
these came like waves on the sea-shore,
one after other.
I had to learn to ride them, and enjoy them too.

Hang on a sec! Everything is still & time simply drifts by.... I sense the lows and miss the highs.

Time and again I ask myself why only this much of years only GOD gives to everyone, I want to stay as long as possible with my parents, I wish all the birth if I born to be only the daughter of my dearest parents.

When I think of all the wonderful times that you both had showered on me, tears rolled down my eyes – When I think of the life we're live sharing all moments together, the way we trust & relay on each other, no matter what happens.

Thinking of all the days & years ahead, all that I have yet to learn from you both my dear parents, my heart is filled with happiness so complete.

It's your love & support that brighten everything around me, when I was in darkness you both gave me light & strength to make my life bright.

This Poem is dedicated for the Best & Perfect Baba + Mama (My Dearest Parents)
My life is a garden of dark red roses
You watered my garden with your endless & selfless love
I dedicated my life completely for you, falling in your feet, kissing
You are the one who gave me life, heart & soul

You carry me with great care from a small blood
Holding your hands firmly on both sides, facing every difficulties of life
Made me a thoughtful & deep women

Dear you are my best friend, philosopher & guide
Who taught me over all the years, the difference between right & wrong and weak & strong

You gave me the best education & the best life, being the best parents of what a child really adored
You are the inspiration of my life
Always being my light that leads me in darkness
Protected me from all the heavy rain, storm & lightning of life

Mischievous things I did when I was a kid
Which I had done before, but never it'll come back to me
But I still remember my childhood days
I am always crazy on those days

Caught doing silly things
Still you forgived me & pampered me again
I want to see those days once again

But oh! how do we go back now
Still my heart wishes for those days to come back
Gone are those days but memories ran strongly between us

Days will pass & become years
A candle may burn & its fire may die
But my baba & mama will walk holding my hands forever
Teaching me new lessons as before till my last breath

With Love & Respect Ceaseless
Your's daughter
