My response to Alec Smart letter:
On our trending statutes of 21st Century

Gautam Sharma *

Smar Alec

YES, my men! I received your letter very late even though you sent it long ago, with that registered post. This is not awkward, many of our folks has experienced it, even some of them go to collect it from their offices – admit cards, insurance policy, job call-letters, passport and some others returned home empty- handed without any acknowledgement, and in confusion. Even, an important thing that was supposed to reach within 72 hrs takes more than 4-hundread hrs and the meaning of the colored enveloped for the indication of the content inside, stays in vain. Let's forget this letter's things. This is also our trending Statutes of the 21st Century.

My Men! Was it some kind of Joke, your question on how I'm doing? You are aware that I gave up my job, have sent the resignation letter to my office authorities. And, I am hoping to drain my brain somewhere, following the trends of brain-drain just to shoot-out my impoverishment. But, my men.....tell me, should I go or not? Won't it make to re-prove the world that we still have lot of unemployment issues & unemployed millions youth? Should I join the crowd, who is making ashamed of our state government, telling the world that our govt. appetite's is somewhere, rather than providing many options to solve this unemployment issues? And you know, here, the job-markets are more volatile than stock market.

My hunched, the price of its net asset value (NAV) has also climbed sky-high. Now, so risky to invest and, no surety on dividend, as the interpretation is subject to market risk. And, for me, this business is not my appetite's, coz' already, I spent 20 yrs to schooled, one after one, inside the twenty different class-room, -- initiating from 'Baa Baa Black sheep' to 'Media is Powerful'. So what should I do, tell me? Brain drain......, to be or not to be..... Should I make my teachers felt-emotional that their students are living faceless, joining the thousands & thousands young crowd, where the future seems flowing in bleak direction. Wokay..... let leave aside, it's no big deal! This is just our trending Statutes of the 21st Century.

Well, I know, you might be getting interested to know how the proceeding is going in the consumer Court. Indeed I follow-up, and met you legal adviser several times to updates the status of the process. But, I am afraid to tell you that it's not making any headway, many cases are tabled in pending for justice, due to lack of Judge. Your adviser said, no new Judge has be appointed or deputed since the previous one left, few yrs back. So, District Consumer Redressal Forum/Court has no Judge. Let me tell you clearly again with letters in cap. DISTRICT CONSUMER REDRESSAL FORUM HAS NO SITTING JUDGE TILL NOW, as legal adviser said to me. Or, Is I'm inviting myself a Civil Contempt (under contempt of court, 1971) for making you acknowledge that DISTRICT CONSUMER REDRESSAL FORUM is in a dysfunctional conditions due lack of a sitting- judge. C'mon my men, this is also our trending Statutes of the 21st Century.

My men, was it to ridicule, your question on how our people are doing? Well, they are still living like as usual. As you know, here..... lives are still cheap and living cost is very high. We still brought things higher than its value, larger than its actual price. During and after, an expected or unexpected blockade or bandh in national highway the price of petrol, LPG filled-cylinders, climbed above and beyond from its actual. And, even with this re-repeated experience, initiatives on preparedness mechanism have not been much visible so far, from the concern people. And, you know, methinks, we have more un-authorized local distributors & agents than authorized one. And, their services for the people deserve a medal coz' they made availed people's demands, helps meets the people's needs, when the government controlled things/products are depleted or not available to its authorized outlets, dealers or agents. Isn't this dry state ludicrous? Very, very dry, huh? C'mon, this is also our trending Statutes of the 21st Century.

Well, my old-Fellas you mentioned they are still alive & kicking, and some of them are on set to mark a chronicles with their pen, indeed they on dry run for the final show. A mine-friend like them, love to invite me to join them in writing people's stories but I told them that, the time now is not so opportune for me. Indeed, I took a mission to re-arrange people faces, and tagged them with another name as..... for those who thrust themselves at the centre of public attention. As, they forget to speak the language of society & humanity. And, their actions are trying to prove that, people can't be guess with their dress & address. See, even in humanitarian organization, the doubt shadows are spreading, to many of its individual employees and its lead persons, on the questions of humility and humanity, credibility and transparency. Well this has nothing to do with us, coz' this is also our trending Statutes of the 21st Century.

And, I like the book you sent for me. It reminds of the few yester-yrs lectures by our teacher, on how to file the stories of cases similar with 'men biting dog'. And indeed, it introduces me to new tricks of the trade, on how I should controlled my pen not to harm myself, and how uncontrolled pen serves to destroyed himself & others. By the way, your letter helps me to recall a statement expressed by a veteran journalist, Kudip Nayar, "If newspapers have criticised the government, it is largely because of its sluggish administration, slow progress in economic field and the gap between the promise and performance. My concept of free press is to ferret out the truth and let the public know."

OMG! My ink has finished, TTFN! I will write you another Sunday, till then bye-bye with this few stolen lines of a peom, from a Japanese poet Mitsuo Aida:

The flowers merely flower,

And they do this as well as they can.
The white lily, blooming unseen in the valley,
Does not need to explain it-self to anyone;
It lives merely for beauty.
Men, however, cannot accept that 'merely'
If tomatoes wanted to be melons,
They would look completely ridiculous.
I am always amazed, that so many people are concerned
With wanting to be what they are not;
What's the point of making you look ridiculous?

Newsperson: A men was saved from becoming KEIBU KEIOIBA through proper counselling by a local-counselor. Local sources have maintained that, since sometimes back, he started speaking inhuman languages by ignoring social norms and humanism practices, after exposing to get-rich and powerful soon mantra.

Tagline: "Shoot for the stars, you would land among constable"
