Metronome 2007 held on 27th October at Chingamakha Luwangpokpa Ground Imphal, organised by "SPADES" an event management team from Imphal was just another good note to start the autumn.

Teams SPADES is a group of ten music lovers who grouped up to bring entertainment and at the same time spread love and peace through music in the midst of the tears and turmoil. Team SPADES are Apu, Bulo, Banty, Damba, Borun, Bablu, Aupa, Kokok, Boss, Naresh.

With the theme of the event "Metronome 2007" being "towards oneness", we saw singers from many communities like Meiteis, Nagas, Kukis.

It was just another great effort for SPADES to rebuild the bridges between communities leaving aside all the differences at a time when we are all hanging by a thread. The event gave birth to new singers and brought back stars of Manipur on stage again.

The evening began with Dazzle City on stage with a medly followed by some of their originals. The host band than took the stage with Naresh on guitars, Boss on guitars, Bobby on bass, Bungo on drums, and played till the end of the show with the singers like Raj, Bulo, Lien, Phila, Damba.

Raj with his soft numbers like Sweet Home Alabama, Every rose has its thorns, You are beautiful was just another great taste to the show. The show was followed by Bulo, singer of the band "KRADLE O' BEATS" with numbers like Pretty Vegas, Heavy, Mr. Crowley, Bleed, Rock n' Roll.

One could see the smoke of dust as the crowd began to jump to the beats.

Then Lien Gangte, singer of the band "Phoenix" took the crowd for a stroll into those old days with numbers like Wasted Sunset, Too much love will kill you, Dont talk to stranger, Starstruck, Holy Diver and Better man.

The crowd loved it and went crazy and it was an unforgettable moment.

Phila, a fresher from Ukhrul took the stage with numbers like Break Away, How will I know, Kiss me, Big Gals dont cry and stole the show. The crowd sang along and we could see hands raised high.

Bunao (14 yrs) on drums

Coming to the end of the show, Damba took the stage with hits from Ozzy and Black Sabbath like Crazy Train, NIB, Paranoid.

Damba was accompanied by Mocha on bass and Bunao (14 yrs) on drums. The show winded up with "Summer of 69" and "November Rain" from Lien................... It was just another great show which everyone will talk about for many days.

Metronome 2007 was a great success for SPADES.

With plans to organise the event "Metronome" annually, SPADES promises to bring more great musical events in Manipur.
