Whether it is the Cold War period when two super powers were fighting for the first place in the POWER RACE, Whether it is the division between the South and North Korea or East and West Germany on ideological differences, Whether it is the present Conflict between USA and Iraq on disarmament ,or Whether it is the fight between the Meiteis and the Nagas on extension of ceasefire in Manipur , compromise rather than conflict is always a better option where we will be able to save the world and other good things GOD has given us from being destroyed.

As it is very difficult to say who is right and wrong and as the status keep changing depending on which side of the fence we are. Hitler is looked on by the Jew s as the Devil incarnate whereas many Germans worship him.

India calls the activities happening in Kashmir as terrorist activities whereas the Pakistanis call it a fight for freedom. The Americans call any act against their interest an act of terrorism and condemns it with dire actions but when Pakistanis commit the same kind of acts in India they tell us to compromise and our Prime Minister of course calls it double standard.

It is not easy to tell who is right and wrong.Everyone will defend their sides and try to prove themselves right. But whatever it may be at the end of the day we shouldnot forget that we all are children of the world, even though we all wont accept that we are the children of the same GOD and it is imperative we protect this world and do good to each other to make this world a better place to live in.

Why people in this world are so divided .I feel it is because of lack of universal outlook. It is our experience that in times of external aggression there arises cooperation to fight for the common cause. If any other world attack us today might be our world will come together and forget the internal differences we have.

It is good to positively check each other for further growth but to point figures with an intention to hurt will only lead us to conflict and war that will ultimately destroy all of us .

Moreover nothing can justify the killing of another fellow being. The following poem was written by me while I was in school in the year 1986 . Hope it inculcates some love between the people of various communities in Manipur.

GOD'S GIFT TO MANKIND

A man went roaming,
And saw a sight
That filled him with sorrow
There in a garden bright,
Where flowers bloom
In the morrow.

A bee came filled with delight
For the nectar that was within it
Another came with the same flower in sight
And the two began to fight,
Both were helped
Each one having beside it
His own regiment of bees

In this calamity
Of many tiny warriors ,
A man stood and sighed.
He looked to God
To save the world,
For if man and beast,
Destroyed themselves
In pointless undertakings
What will happen to the world
With all its beauties
That God made for the joy of mankind?
