I have a dream

We grow by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening.

Some of us let great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them, nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true --
I have a dream

As a baby, we were in the ideal performance state to achieve excellence. Did you fear public speaking, starting a successful business or skydiving?

Of Course not! As a child, we all had dreamed of becoming a movie star, an astronaut or even a president. We all had great dreams. Some of us even wanted to be business tycoons or to lead countries. Others wanted to be sports heroes or have ideal family lives with supportive loving relationships.

'Possible' was a familiar word. As we grow up reality start to bite the dreams. 80% of people initiate to put brakes in pursuing their childhood dreams. Many short comings tend to get inside the soul.

Responsibility takes over the human body. Fear of losing out in the sarcastic society make students choose the path which is more travelled by.

Demands and selfish concern for the welfare of other bring down 'the child' inside one's person. Some dream big, some small. It's hard to get a person who doesn't dream. I do. Expect u all do too.

Another decade has gone by in this beautiful century and lot has changed as usual. America has got her 1st black President. Indian National Congress changed its two magic words 'Garibi Hatao' to 'Aam aadmi' which made 'India Shining' lie in the dustbin.

Michael Phelps and Usian Bolt showed the world that both of them are indeed human in Beijing games. Even though Taylor Swift didn't, A R Raheman did land himself an Oscar. Not to forget, Ratan Tata gave India her prized Nano. They did it because they believed in it.

Contrary to the above lines right now the world is in total despair. Uncertain terrorism issues, realistic climatic change, temporary decline in economic activities, violations of human rights and many more unthinkable are still there.

The condition of people staying in developing countries and other third world are worse than their developed counterparts. Moreover it gets worst in state like Manipur. A place where protest and curfews have become a mere political joke.

It wouldn't be surprised to me if was I to hear and witness a sitting 'Dharna' due to lost of a dog in the nearby future. Nope, it's not an exaggeration.

In engineering term I called it 'Probability'. In another account, who can forget the people who guard the law and order of the state? The least said about them, the better. Last time I heard, some of them have even started checking driving license to people riding bicycle.

So where was I? Yes! I have a dream.

A dream to make my beautiful state a better one. Understanding among each other is always the first step towards peace. Be it at home, office or a region I somewhere believed we can understand and trust each other among different society in one way or other.

The outcome will not only bring peace but security in the midst of everyone. Consequently development works will prosper sooner or later at any point. Good development doesn't suggest building skyscrapers and big towers. It will be better if we concentrate more on education and tourism market.

If Kota can become the educational hub for many want-to-be technical students, why can't Imphal be in the north east region?

I sure do believe it will be, one day!! In order to make development prosper from good to better, the unity and opinion among people who stays outside Manipur are more required than ever.

If only they could think and contribute just 15 minutes (yes u saw it right, just 15 minutes!!) of their daily time for the growth of my state, it will have tremendous impact in all portion of development. With better progress comes better electricity, water, transport, health and after all a better life.

With peace and development in a region, there is no guarantee that crimes and corruptions won't be there. As always it will be. No society is corruption free. In order to decrease wrong doers we can always bring qualified personals respected by our society (at least they won't ask a driving license to a cyclist).

If all goes well I also have faith in the people to elect committed leaders. Leaders like KCR who can commit hunger strike for the welfare of people.

To the Indian govt. for any demand or hunger strike only the leaders are counted, not 'aam aadmi' like me, you or Irom Sharmila.

My dream is not a reverie but a reality hallucination. Until it start to accomplish in some way let us all dream. Till then please do not wake me up!!
