Dear Colleagues,

Sexually transmitted infections including HIV are known to be primarily transmitted through sexual route which has created a major impact on sexual and reproductive health worldwide. Some of the STIs and HIV may also be transmitted from mother to child during pregnancy and childbirth and through blood products and tissue transfer. Although some of the STIs are curable but others still do not have any effective preventive or therapeutics available such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), human papillomavirus (HPV), herpes simplex virus (HSV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV).

Globally, STIs and their complications rank in the top five disease categories for which adults and adolescent seek health care. In addition, Antimicrobial resistance, in particular for gonorrhoea, is becoming increasingly widespread.

There is pressing need to fill up the research gaps in our knowledge about the prevention approaches among older adults, serodiscordant couples and determinants of vulnerability among young people such as intergenerational partnerships.

The International Conference on “Emerging Frontiers and Challenges in Management and Control of STIs and HIV” aims to provide and interactive forum to the researchers, public health providers and policy maker who have been engaged in addressing the cutting edge issues related to mode, mechanism and management of STIs including HPV, HSV1 and 2, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chancroid, Trichomoniasis, Pubic Lice (Crabs) and HIV.

The program will feature state-of-the-art global research on challenges in control and management of STIs and HIV research in basic, clinical as well as socio-behavioural sciences. It will dwell on transmission, resistance to the therapeutics, disease progression, effects on fertility, development of efficacious strategies for diagnosis, prevention, treatment and control stigma associated with sexually transmitted infections. The risk of STI in teenagers adult males and females will also be addressed with their association with cervical cancer, liver disease, pelvic inflammatory disease PID, infertility and pregnancy problems.
