U Chaitanya takes charge as Deputy Commissioner Kakching

Shri Uppuluri Chaitanya, an IAS officer of the 2022 batch of the Manipur cadre, took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Kakching District today.

In a farewell function held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Uppuluri Chaitanya took the charge from the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Shri Rohit Anand, IAS.

Speaking to all the officers, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Shri Rohit Anand thanked the entire Government officials along with the police and the para-military forces for supporting him during his tenure since March 5, 2024. Appreciating all the officers for their cooperation in executing work for the benefit of the district, he urged to give the same cooperation to the new Deputy Commissioner.

Meanwhile, the new Deputy Commissioner Uppuluri Chaitanya (IAS) sought cooperation from the officers to work as a team for the overall development of the district. It may be mentioned that earlier, he was posted as the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) - Waikhong.

The function was attended by Superintendent of Police Smt. Priyadarshini Laishram (IPS), Additional Deputy Commissioner Shri P. Shantikumar Singh (MCS), along with the Additional SP (MPS), SDO, AC to DC, District Level Officers, staffs and officials of the Deputy Commissioner Office among others. (DIO)
