BJP, Manipur kick-off Signature Campaign on Sadar Hills

BJP, Manipur Pradesh kick-off Signature Campaign for a Memorandum to be submitted to His Excellency, The Governor of Manipur in the matter of problems arising out of economic blockade called by Sadar Hills District Demand Committee and counter blockade by UNC along the National Highways of the State.

Shri Sh. Shantikumar Sharma, President, BJP, Manipur Pradesh along with Shri S. Lala Singh, VP, BJP, Manipur Pradesh, Shri Th. Shyamo Singh & Shri Kh. Radhakishore Singh, Gen. Secretaries, Shri Y. Nillamani Singh & Shri L. Bashanta Sharma, State Secretaries and various leaders of the Morchas and Cells of the Party participated the signature campaign started from Samu Makhong, Khwairamband Bazar, Imphal at 11 AM onwards.

In this connection the President, BJP, Manipur Pradesh demands on behalf of the Party to Governor of Manipur that:
(1) The essential commodities as well as petroleum products be made available in reasonable prices with sufficient quantity:

2) Close down the Black Marketing, arrest the stockists & black markerters and punish them as per law.

3) Special subsidy/suffering subsidy of Rs. 5,000/- per month be given to each family of the State to compensate the lost during economic blockade till call off of the blockade.

4) Bring amicable solution regarding Sadar Hills issue at the earliest.

Further, Shri Shantikumar Sharma told to the media persons that this campaign will conclude on the 18th Sept. 2011 and cover the whole state of Manipur.
