The Delhi Association of Manipur Muslim Students (DAMMS), organized a general body meeting dated 07/08/2010 at Jamia Millia Islamia, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi. Main discussions of the meeting were on the ongoing situation of Manipur, mainly after effect of economic blockade in the highways, 39 and 53, called by UNC and ANSAM.
The meeting concluded with a humble appeal to call off the economic blockade, considering the miseries and feeling the empathy of difficulties facing by the people of Manipur as a whole and also appealing to the Government of Manipur to find out alternative ways to end this deadlock.
The meeting praises Chief Minister Shri. O. Ibobi Singh for forming a Ministerial Team, comprises, T.N. Haokip (Information Minister), D.D. Thaisii (Tribal Development Minister) and N. Biren (Sport Minister) as a welcoming step.
