UCM stir to continue

Imphal, October 19: The United Committee, Manipur (UCM) demanded that the government of Manipur should clarify on the issue of cease fire between the NSCN (IM) and government of India and if it is extended to Manipur.

It further asked the government to clarify on the commitment to protect territorial integrity of Manipur.

Sapam Jadumani President of UCM told media persons in a press meet held this evening that the government of Manipur should give the reason whey the government released the 13 cadres of NSCN (IM) without any C9ndition.The people of Manipur feel that the NSCN (IM) cadres now are taking up various kinds of unlawful activities in Manipur.

They openly loot the passenger bus, molest women, demands money on the national high ways.

The government or Manipur has closed the mouth of the people he chained.

The democratic rights of the people are totally violated by the government.

The Manipur police destroyed the peaceful sit in protest organized beside the roads.

The police also beat up and arrested many innocent Meira Paibi who were proceeding to participate in sit in protest democratically.

The UCM strongly condemned the police action and the policy of the SPF government.
