Imphal, July 13: Acknowledging the dwindling stock of life saving drugs and press material, the All Naga Students' Association, Manipur has decided to exempt these two from the purview of the economic blockade imposed on the two National Highways.

Speaking to the press, vice president of the student body, Ngachonmi Chamroy today said that life saving drugs and press material will be exempted from the purview of the economic blockade.

For press material, the student leader urged the transporters to stick up the word press on the trucks and vehicles.

Chamroy also appealed to the media fraternity to adhere to the ethics of journalism and not go beyond it during this tumultuous period.

Low stock of newsprint had constrained The Sangai Express to reduce the number of its pages in both the English and Manipuri edition for the last few days.
