Imphal, April 05 2009: Noting contradictory remarks of top leaders of All India Congress Committee (AICC) the Manipur People's Party (MPP) legislator Okram joy Singh has questioned commitment of the Congress party in upholding interest of the people of Manipur.

recounting assertion of AICC general secretary Sidhartha sometimes back to translate into action election manifesto of the Nagaland State Congress party for integration of Naga inhabited areas under a single administrative unit and the recent assurance by Rahul Gandhi at an election rally in Churachandpur district to protect territorial integrity of manipur, O joy described contradictory stands of the AICC leaders as misleading and mocking sentiment of manipuris.

O Joy also slammed both the Central and State Governments on the failure to nail murderers of the Kasom Khullen SDO and two of his sub-ordinate staff and posed whether the NSCN (IM) is dictating terms. The MPP legislator also proclaimed that Th Chaoba is being nominated and supported by the four political parties on the condition to vigorously pursue and uphold five points which include protection of territorial integrity of manipur, address identity crisis, strive to solve law and order problem, eradicate regional imbalance and restore rule of law.
