Vaiphei Peoples� Council (VPC) today openly pledge their support to T Manga Vaiphei, the incumbent MLA of 57-Henglep A/C today at Kangvai Village, a hotbed of the Vaiphei community here in the presence of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and MPCC (I) president Gaikhangam.
Addressing the masses gathered on the inauguration ceremony of T Manga�s election office, P Kamkholal, president of the Vaiphei apex body pledge their full support to the sitting MLA of Henglep A/C and added that its members will sweat, and fight for his cause.
Chief Minister O Ibobi, meanwhile promise an evenly treatment for all communities residing both in the plains and the hills, if the Congress party is again elected to power and pledge that there will definitely be a total change in the entire state within three years of their reign.
IFC Minister Phungzathang Tonsing, a Congress nominee in Churachandpur AC, who incidentally is also the first candidate to file nomination papers for of the district after he had accomplish it yesterday, while addressing the meeting articulate that Vaiphei community has to stop their askew action and moves forward, in a tactful reference to D Sanga Vaiphei, a contender that may be capable of toppling T Manga if not substituting him.
He also adds that the people have to renew their reign as they had spend a good share of their reign in settling the �phoutam sen� obtained by W Nipamacha Singh.
MPCC (I) President Gaikhanngam, who unfurled the party�s flag, has also an extensive lecture on the occasion.
Today�s inauguration is the fourth for Congress party in the district that has been endowed with six assembly segment, though DCC (I) president Dongzakai specifically omit Thangso Baite�s name and claimed that it was the third.
Tipaimukh and Thanlon were the only A/C that is yet to witness the political showdown.
