Lungnila Elizabeth remembered on her 11th Death Anniversary

The 11th Death Anniversary of Lungnila Elizabeth, a student of Little Flower School who was abducted by some unidentified persons in connection with a monetary demand of Rs 15 lakh and later found killed on November 4, 2003, was observed at the campus of Little Flower School at Tiddim Road, Imphal West today.
Education Minister M Okendro; Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Minister Francis Ngajokpa who is the father of the girl; IFCD Minister Ngamthang Haokip; MLA of Saikul Constituency, Yamthong; MLA Dikho and MLA Nemcha Kipgen led the gathering in offering floral tributes to photo of the deceased girl as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Teachers and students of the school were also present at the observance function.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Okendro said that the act of killing the little girl was inhumane and it should have no place in the society.
He called upon the people to unite together against such barbaric act.
The Minister conceded that Little Flower School has been producing bright students who are now playing pivotal role in education sector of the State which is commendable.
Minister Francis Ngajokpa announced that a new waiting shed for the school would be constructed at the earliest in memory of his daughter.
He added that observance function of death anniversary of his daughter would be held in simple way as organizing a grand function out of it would create disturbance to studies of the students.
