Imphal, Aug 17: Out of the four persons killed in the bomb blast at ISKCON complex yesterday, three were cremated at the ISKCON crematorium near BIM Higher Secondary School.

The three victims cremated at ISKCON crematorium were Bir Kumar from Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai, Wangkhem Anil of Sangaiprou Mamang Leikai and Angom Blondin of Lalambung Takhellambam Leikai.

The other victim Dr K Binodkumar of Kwakeithel Akham Leikai was cremated at his own locality.

Before the last rites were performed, the bodies were brought to the spot where the fateful incident took place after post morterm at RIMS.

There floral tributes were paid to the departed souls.

Injured International Director of ISKCON Prabhu Damodara Swami led the way in paying floral tributes.

The Swami also led the kirtan while paying homage to the victims.

On the other hand, Governor Dr SS Sidhu today visited all the injured persons now undergoing treatment at RIMS and Shija Hospital.

Strongly condemning the incident, the Governor said that the attack at a place of worship is a blot on the rich cultural heritage of Manipur.

Representative of US Consulate General American Citizen Service, MA Haque had also visited injured Americans at hospital.

Before the mortal remains were put to rest, a stretch of the Airport Road was blocked today by volunteers of Sangaiprou Young Development Committee, Sangaiprou Naharol Club and Sangaiprou Mahila Mandal Meira Paibi.

The blockade which was imposed since morning continued till evening.

During the blockade no vehicle was allowed within the stretch from Sangaiprou to Paite Veng.

President of Sangaiprou Young Development Committee, T Jugindro Khuman said that the road blockade was imposed in accordance to a resolutions of the public meeting held in connection with yesterday's grenade attack.

Other resolutions adopted during the meeting include demand for clarification from the group concerned regarding their objective of the attack and to stand united against such criminal activities.

The meeting also agreed to extend all possible help towards performing the last rites to the bereaved family of the locality whose seven year old child was killed in the blast.

It also asked all concerned not to repeat such bestial act of spilling blood within the complex of a place of worship.
