MSAD rallies with integrity stand

Imphal, August 10: About 1500 participants took part in the peace rally organised by the Manipur Students' Association, Delhi today.

A statement issued by the student body today said that the rallyists started from Mandi House and converged at Parliament Street followed by a public meeting.

The rallyists carried placards with the words, �India : Stop disintegrating the territorial integrity of Manipur, We appeal ANSAM to withdraw the economic blockade,� and �Manipur belongs to Manipuris�.

Participated by students drawn from different communities of Manipur such as Kuki, Meetei, Pangal, Hmar and Kabui, the rally appealed to ANSAM to withdraw the economic blockade in the interest of the people.

A number of organisations also supported and took part in the rally.

The organisations included the North East Peoples' Organisation, Lok Raj Sangathan, Yuva Bharat, Kuki Students' Organisation etc.

Later a meeting held at Parliament Street affirmed the stand against imposition of economic blockade by any organisations on the National Highways.

MSAD also appealed to the people to collectively stand against such atrocious acts.

The meeting warned the Centre not to compromise with the territorial integrity of Manipur at any cost.
