The Chief Minister Okram Ibobi today said it is suspected that the KNF was responsible for the kidnapping of the daughter of Francis Ngajokpa.
It is further reported that the organization has demanded Rs 15 lakhs as ransom telephonically.
The Chief Minister said security for some ministers specially Naga ministers had been increased after some pressures were made from some Naga organizations.
Earlier an attempt was made to kidnap the son of Francis Ngajokpa, Minister GAD however it did not materialize.
The government is trying to rescue the young girl he assured.
We should condemn the kidnapping he said.
The students of Little Flower School staged a dharna today demanding the safe release of Lungneila Elizabeth, daughter of Francis Ngajokpa, Minister GAD an eight year old student of class III.
The dharna continued till 12 noon.
It may be mentioned here that Lungningla Elizabeth, daughter of Minister Francis Ngajokpa was carried away by some persons in a van yesterday around 3.20 pm.
The Khurai Pana Apunba Shinglup also demanded safe release of the girl.
The Shinglup urged the concerned not to abduct children and women in future, according to a press release of the said Shinglup.
The All Manipur Students' Union appealed to the abductors to release the student in the interest of family and staffs of Little Flower School.
It is an unfortunate incident for the people and students community.
Lungningla Elizabeth aged about seven was kidnapped by some persons from the gate of the school in a van yesterday.
What kind of punishment was given to this innocent student who did not know about the society.
Those who are trying to demand ransom by abducting uniformed student is a great challenge to the students community it said.
The AMSU in a press release issued today urged the concerned to release the student.
Everybody should condemn the incident adds the press release.
The United Committee Manipur demanded release the girl without any condition.
It asked the reason for abducting a minor.
All the communities of Manipur should fight against it.
If the girl is not released in no time, every one should prepare to save her as their own child.
The UCM appealed to all organizations, associations to extend co-operation for the safe release of the student, according to a press note of UCM.
The All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM) is shocked over the kidnapping of a small child Lungningla Elizabeth of Little Flower School, Imphal on November 4, 2003.Elizabeth, it may be noted is just a young girl of 8 years and we are fully confident that she is innocent in all respect it said.
The ATSUM, in the strongest term condemned the greedy and horrifying act and demanded immediate release of the child without any further delay unconditionally.
The ATSTJM is constraint to make this statement, "that this small and tender child with all her innocence should not be taken into rampant demand or ransom of any organizations' domestic need" it said.
The child's mental frame is delicate and precious.
In case of any damage to her it will be a crime against humanity it said.
The Peace Promotion Programme pointed out that Francis is a role model of young, dynamic leadership and public service.
At a time when an NGO was trying to secure release of Dr Wolfgang Heinrich, Francis did all he could for securing the safe release.
