With HIV/AIDS becoming an important social issues, elected representatives have been called upon to contribute some amount from their respective MLA's Local Area Development Fund toward fighting against the scourge.
Speaking as guest of honour of the 5th foundation day of You and I Network today, joint secretary of SASO RK Tiken said its high time for the elected representatives to participate in the ongoing efforts to fight against the problem of HIV/AIDS which has become a serious social issue.
So all the elected representatives from the 60 Assembly Constituencies should contribute atleast some amount from their respective Local Area Development Fund of Rs 30 lakhs each and help in fighting against the scourge of HIV/AIDS in their own Assembly Constituencies.
