Imphal, July 24: Taking strong exception to the recent spate of kidnapping children, the CPI Manipur State Council has appealed to all concerned to stop kidnapping children immediately.

A press release issued by the CPI Manipur State Council also urged upon the Government to take up necessary measures so as to repel the sense of insecurity being felt by the people of the State.

Further conveying serious concern over the escalating prices of essential commodities including food grains, it appealed to the State Government to take up special steps so that food grains and other essential commodities are made available at reduced prices in all the villages of the State.

It further urged upon the Government to make effective control of prices.

Meanwhile, titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba, in a statement, has termed the recent incidents of kidnapping children most unfortunate.

Maintaining that all genuine revolutionary groups should pay due attention to the voice of people, he appealed to all concerned to hand over all the kidnapped children to their parents at the earliest.
