UCM reiterates stand

Imphal, June 16: Iterating that the Great June Up-rising Day observation organised by the United Committee Manipur this year will be in the line of previous observances, the 4th Observation Committee said the tribute paying itinerary do not include holding a rally.

Stating that all preparations for the 4th anni- versary of the June uprising have been finalised, a Committee release informed that due to trans-portation constraints the day would be observed separately in Jiribam and Moreh.

Appreciating NGOs and individuals for their phy-sical, moral and financial contributions for smooth conduct of the function, UCM urged the general public to coo-perate and adhere to traffic regulations of the State administration.

It also informed the tribute payers to wear traditional clothes and programme participants to arrive in time.

Meanwhile, the Kum- bi unit of the UCM was inaugurated today mor-ning with Ng Nganbi Leima as the chief guest.
