Imphal, July 25: Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has once again rejected All Naga Student Association Manipur (ANSAM)'s offer of holding talks outside Imphal or outside Manipur to end the ongoing indefinite economic blockades in State's 2 national highways.

He said talks if any with the agitating student body should be in Imphal only.

ANSAM had yesterday responded to the Manipur Government's offer for holding talks by creating conducive atmosphere but with the condition that it (talks) should be held outside Imphal or even outside the State.

The fax reply sent to Manipur Chief Minister yesterday by ANSAM President Paul Langhu stated that the student body was not averse to the talk but the state government must first create conducive atmosphere for the talk to actualize and it would be much better if the talk are held outside Imphal or even outside the state.

Earlier, the ANSAM had set similar conditions for holding talks with State Government to Senapati which was later turned down by the Chief Minister as he insisted that any talk were to be held should be held in Imphal only.

Meanwhile ANSAM vice-president Ngachonmi Chamroy said if the government was serious about the talks to bring to an amicable solution to the economic blockades it must reciprocate in the greater interest of people.

Time and date would be fixed once state government reciprocated the ANSAM condition for talks, he pointed out.
