Mortal remains of the six Naga hostages brought to JNIMS mortuary and crowd stand-off with CRPF and State Police forces on night of June 10 2026 at JNIMS mortuary, Imphal
People from different parts gathered at JNIMS Morgue, Imphal East on 10 June 2026 to pay respect to the six death naga persons believed to be those who were missing since May 13.
The death bodies were recovered by a combined team of security forces.
Tensions escalated when members of the crowd allegedly resorted to force against security personnel.
During the confrontation some protestors were detained and security personnel including SP Imphal East injured by stone.
Security forces used tear gas, lathi charge to disperse the crowd.
