Laihui created "Phou-Oibi" a Manipuri ballad opera, presented on 29th March 2009.
Phou-oibi is a new performance incorporating the various traditional performing Art Forms of Manipur on the folklore associated with the Manipuri Goddess of Rice - "Phou-oibi". Laihui presents the mother Goddess as a mother of Nature and a true woman who is the symbol of nature, beauty, valour, protection and forgiveness.
