Transgender activist Malem Thongam was picked up by City Police as she continued her fast unto death protest in front of Kangla Western Gate, Imphal on March 06 2024 .
Her protest included demanding restoration of peace in Manipur, Prime Minister's intervention to resolve the ongoing conflict and abrogation of the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement with Kuki militant groups.
