A cease-work strike was held by Journalists across Manipur on 09th August 2024 at Manipur Press Club, Imphal .
The protest was held in response to the recent hijacking and burning of a huge quantity of newspaper reels at Kangpokpi District on 07th August 2024.
The All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and the Editors Guild Manipur (EGM) strongly mentioned that the State Government, Security Advisor and DGP should be held accountable for the arson.
