38th Anniversary of the Heirangoithong Massacre at Heirangoithong Volleyball Ground (Heirangoithong Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Ground) on 14th March 2022
On March 14, 1984, 14 innocent civilians were killed and many other sustained bullet injuries when CRPF personnel opened fire indiscriminately at Heirangoithong Volleyball Ground after some UG cadres launched an attack against them. Notably, a volleyball tournament was underway at the ground when the firing took place.
