A 24-hours bandh on Oct 24, 2009 , along National Highway-39 imposed by Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed against the brutally murdered of retired Chief Medical Officer of Bishnupur district hospital Dr. H. Binodkumar (60) after being robbed him of Rs.2 lakhs on Thursday (October 22, 2009) by miscreants.
JAC imposed NW-39 bandh due to State Government's negative response on the charters of demands which include booking the culprits involved in the murdered immediately and to assure safety to prevent such killing in the future.
