Overflowing Barak river flooded the catchment areas of Jiribam including the main market disrupting day to day life with residents fleeing to places and a person drown to death around last week of June 2012.
Lost of property and survey works on the affected area underway with medical interventions to prevent post flood general illness among general popoulation.
