Ukhrul to Jessami road in very poor condition as on the last week of August 2013.
Recently due to a landslide at Marem village (around 55kms from Ukhrul and 50kms from Jessami) an area of around 60 metres were down.
BRO sent a proposal to Ministry of Surface & transport for development of this road and the 84 RCC BRO got the green siginal for the work, only left is land acquisition the landslide area, the village authority and BRO will sign an agreement very soon. After signing the agreement a 60 kms long new road is to be developed.
