Situated at the eastern and western bank of Thoubal river, Yairipok is a place bordering Imphal East and Thoubal district.
Yairipok Bazar which falls under Wangkhem Assembly constituency is an important business centre for the people living in the nearby areas and the area is also settled by Manipuri Musilms and Meiteis.
From Yairipok Bazar one can go towards Ukhongsang, Nongpok Keithelmanbi, Andro and also towards Kasom Khullen in Ukhrul district.
