Kwak Tanba at Sana Konung and Wangkhei Angom Leikai, Imphal on 13th October 2024
The morning session of the ceremony (Kwak Tanba) began after leaders of different Panas assembled at Sana Konung in the presence of titular king / Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba.
Sana Konung has been observing the 'Kwak Tanba' ceremony on the '10th of Mera' every year for the prosperity of the State
According to traditional belief, the ritual has been practised since time immemorial in which officials of the Sana Konung foretell the coming bad fortunes which may obstruct the development of the Manipuri kingdom by observing the flight of the crow.
