As celebrated every year in the interest of our traditional festival and very special one for the "Ningols" , Manipuri Ningol Chakouba function for both Chingmee -Tammee was celebrated at Mysore on the 6th November 2016 in a grand and traditional way.
The function was hosted/celebrated at the Residence of Dr. Ng. Iboyaima Singh & associated with the "Manipuri Youth & Students Organisation, Mysore (MYSOM).
About 50 "Ningols" in traditional dresses participated in the function. Equal nos of "Pibas"/brothers also participated to grace the occasion.
Pibas took the main role for celebrating this unique festival including preparation/cooking of many traditional dishes in traditional ways. Most of them were students, teachers, professionals etc.
Gifts "Dakshina" were also given to all the "Ningols". A special gift "Laibak Phabi Ningol of Mysore" for the year 2016-17 was also given through a Lucky draw. A Chingmee Ningol got the precious gift of the day.
At the end, Housie-Housie game was also played.
