Lt General of Indian Army honour and present a gift to former Indian National Army battle casualty Mr. Thang Khongan Houkip from Manipur born in 1927, joined Indian National Army (INA) in Nov 1943 & got trained in Burma. He participated in Battle of Kohima and Battle of Kangsoi. Thang Khongan Houkip also received Tammra Patra by ex-Prime minister late Smt. Indira Gandhi. Houkip attended the Ex-Armymen Rally orgd by Assam Rifle oldest para-malitary forces of the country held at Keithelmanbi on March 30th 2009.
