2nd State Level Thazing Lap 2013 : An Autum Festival of the Vaiphei at Kulbung Veng, Salam Patong Village in Sadar Hills on 27th September 2013.
Thazing Lap is essentially a recreational post seed showing or pre-harvest festival celebrated exclusively by the Vaipheis. The origin of the festival is traced back to the period in Vaiphei history when various Vaiphei clans inhabited together at a particular settlement called Khuavaiphei, which is believed to be located in the present day Chin Hills in Burma (Myanmar).
