Imphal, February 28 2009:: As part to its efforts to usher in piece and amity among the different tribes in Manipur, troops of 57 Mountain Division organized a volleyball tournament in Thonglang Akutpa, Senapati district, appropriately named the Harmony Cup.

The Tournament conducted by the 14 MAHAR saw the spirit between the tribes and fostered brotherhood among the villagers.

The overwhelming responses from the villages in which teams from eight youth clubs participated helped achieve the aim of the tournament which was to integrate different tribes in the area as also to promote spirit of unity and brotherhood through sports.

This effort by the Army was appreciated by all the villagers.
